Independence Day Example of Massive Community Building

Happy Independence Day USA Leaders,

There are very few holidays in the world that carry the significance of July 4th.  Today America celebrates its 234th birthday.  There is a very clear parallel between the 234th birthday of America and building a community and creating culture.

The whole idea to community and culture is the “sum of the collective”.  The idea is that each member of a group will perform at a higher level if their sights are set on something much bigger then their own personal benefit.  Its called Legacy.  You see each of us wants to leave this earth knowing that we contributed to something bigger than we could have ever achieved on our own.

That is exactly what has happened in America.  This goal (legacy) is to leave this land better then when we arrived, to work all of our days to make this a better place for the next generation.  The only way that America could have lasted 234 years if if you Americans succeeded.

Now some of you will be saying to yourself, “how can you say it is better now with the Great Gulf Oilspill, the Katrina Devastation, the Economic recession, etc, etc, etc?”

That is a short sighted question.  Look what you incredible resilient Americans have already lasted through:  the 1st World War, the 2nd World War, racism, the Great Depression, Equal Rights, etc, etc, etc.

What dosn’t kill you makes you…………

Now stand up my friends.  Recognize that you are all part of the same community and you are indeed, building a huge culture.

Sometimes from the inside, it is hard to see, as a community, that you are winning the war, but I can tell you watching you from up here (Canada) you are champions!

You are setting a great example for the rest of the world to follow.

Enjoy your day!

Blessings,

Ken & Julie Dunn

  1. I appreciate the inspiration and the perspective friend. Too few actually take the time to reflect and take into consideration the many blessings and triumphs surrounding us. We are all a part of this as you say, collective built by a massive community indeed!

    Cheers!

  2. This is truly amazing. Belief is the power behind action. In many people, it’s hard, like you said, to look outside of what they have never experienced or even thought possible but with the right conditioning, the right words and the CHOICE to believe, anything is possible. Thank you for sharing this amazing article.
